For A Hot Weather Treat: Yogurt Pops

It’s HOT.HOT.HOT and humid in New England so this sounds divine 🙂

16 ounces plain nonfat yogurt

3/4 cup water

1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules

Instructions:

Dissolve bouillon in water

Combine water and yogurt in blender and blend thoroughly

Pour into small containers for freezing, cover and freeze.

Let’s Help One Another

Let’s help one another… is there and elderly person or someone with a disability in your neigborhood who could use your help with their pet? In this heat it is not good for such folks to be outside. Volunteer to walk their pet or fill out door water bowls.

Let’s check in on these folks even if they don’t have pets, compassion works everywhere 🙂

Pets come with responsibilites

Beautiful neo-tropical frog

The atelopus frog is known by many names such as the clown frog or the Costa Ric…an Variable Harlequin Toad. Whatever you call the frog, it is a neo-tropical toad that was once quite wide spread living throughout Costa Rica and Panama.

Appalled Artist, Animal Activist, Human Being

Artist Tom Otterness has been commissioned by an unnamed donor to sculpt bronze lions at the Battery Park Branch of New York Public Library for $750,000.  In 1977, Otterness was involved in another art project.  He bought a shelter dog, chained it to a fence, shot it to death and filmed the murder in a movie he called ‘Shot Dog Film.’
This crime has tainted any work he shows, publicly, and it would be a disgrace for the NY Public Library to let this project proceed.

Rational Thinking

Have a safe, funfilled weekend

Here’s wishing everyone a safe and fun weekend. Don’t forget your pets needs in these high, humid temps. Keep water available and do not leave your pet in the car.

Simple words to pass on to your friends

HOT…HUMID…STICKY….what more can we say. Please don’t leave your dogs in the car. I know they beg, they plead, they give us those soulful eyes. Leave them home and when you return give a little extra love and a treat.

Please make sure you leave extra water out for animals and this is high tick and flea weather, is your pet protected? Please pass on to remind your friends.

Just Be Happy
