Can a Pain Management Center Help Your Dog?

Can a Pain Management Center Help Your Dog?.

From My Friends at the ASPCA : Be Aware

Warning: This will enrage you. Two dogs are thrown in the trunk of a car. The suspects drive around with music blasting to drown out the sounds of fighting. This continues until the movement stops and one of the dogs is dead.

It’s called trunking—and it’s on the rise.

“It’s barbaric,” says ASPCA Animal Fighting Specialist Terry Mills. “It’s dark. It’s cramped. The dogs are fighting for their lives. With the music blasting, no one suspects a thing.”

As with any other illegal underground activity, it is impossible to determine how many people are involved in trunking and dog fighting—but estimates suggest that the number is in the tens of thousands.

Take Action
We need you on our side! Please visit our Blood Sports section to learn how you can help end this violent abuse. And if you suspect dog fighting in your neighborhood, please contact the police or your local animal control officer.

Biscotti Treats for Your Pet

You can alternate this to your own preference. My dog doesn’t like peanuts (go figure) so I just eliminate them in the recipe.

5 cups flour
1/4 cup peanuts, chopped
½ teaspoon baking soda
1 egg
¼ cup vegetable oil
1 ½ cups banana, pureed
2 teaspoons vanilla
water
Preheat oven to 325F. Place dry ingredients in large bowl. Make a well in the center. Blend egg, oil and banana together. Add into the dry ingredinets in well. start combining together. Add water, one teaspoon at a time as needed. Knead by hand on table until mixed thoroughly. Form into logs approximately 2″ – 2 1/2″ high. Flatten so that log iis 6″ – 7″ wide by 1″ high. Place on non-stick baking sheets or lightly greased ones. Bake 30 – 40 minutes. Remove and cool for 10 minutes. Slice into 1/2″ – 3/4″ slices. Place on baking sheets and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown. Cool. Store in airtight container.

Dog TV

I admit I am one of those people who leaves the TV or radio on for the
dog when I’m gone 🙂
This site and new TV channel looks very interesting but I wonder if the dogs bark on TV will our own dogs bark in return? Just wondering what the neighbors might think for those of us who live in apartments.

My wish for your Valentine’s Day

Valentines Day for many is a source of unpleasantness. Maybe you don’t think you have a loved one to share the day with. Or maybe you feel pressured to do something special for your significant other. To me Valentine’s Day is about treating yourself and others with love. If you don’t love and take care of yourself who will?
Your pets love you uncondtionally and remind us every moment of every day if only we will listen. No matter what our day has been like or, how much money we make or what we look like, pet owners are loved.
Enjoy Valentine’s Day and every day that you are blessed with that unconditional love.

Great Food Ideas for Fido

I seem to be stuck on food lately. So many great ideas out there for our furry friends. I’ve read quite a bit about the food trucks/wagons
that are sprouting up throughout several cities. Hey, why not we love to stop at the ice cream cart, hamburger/hot dog/pizza stand so why wouldn’t our pets.
I love the ideas I saw today for doggie tacos and a get well doggie basket/box that is delivered to your pet.

Recycled Pet Bed Ideas

I am loving some of the trunk ideas and am almost dizzy thinking of
the different fabrics I could use to create my own designs. For those not interested in fabric, I can see some nice painted designs etc.
So many possibilities. I guess it’s time to put pen to paper and draft some ideas. What am I talking about………well check out the link below 🙂
