Doggie Carrot Cookies

On this Fall day here in New England comfort food is what we strive for 🙂
So make these carrot cookies for your favorite canine and cuddle up.

You will need:
2 cups carrots — boiled and pureed
2 eggs
2 tablespoons garlic — minced
2 cups unbleached flour — *see Note
1 cup rolled oats
1/4 cup wheat germ
*or rice flour or rye flour.

Combine carrots, eggs and garlic. Mix until smooth. Add dry ingredients. Roll out on heavily floured surface and cut into bars or desired shapes. Bake at 300 degrees for 45 minutes or to desired crunchiness. The centers will continue to harden as they cool. Brush with egg white before baking for a glossy finish.

Changes Coming…

We’ve been very busy here at NEPG 🙂 After a hot humid summer we have now settled into a “Fall” existence. Changes are coming and we are very excited. Most recently we attended the New England Pet Expo in Wilmington MA and have so many pictures to upload and new business we now call friends. Stay tuned and don’t forget you can always follow us on facebook.com/new-england-pet-guide as well as twitter.com/nepg2012.
A new column here on our blog is in the making. Holidays are around the corner and we are also getting ready to head to Vegas. Soooooo stay tuned 🙂
